PictureScaler is a batch conversion tool for reducing pictures in size (scaling down). It is especially useful when you need to send some digital photos via email or put them on your website.
Main Features:
an image or a batch of images dropped from the Finder/Explorer
the new width or height of the images (even according to longest/shortest edge which is handy when you are scaling portrait and landscape images at the same time)
, scale the image as a percentage of the original size
the option to overwrite the original image, create a copy of it, or copy it to another location
the target file size when saving JPEGs
able to convert between the various image formats supported by QuickTime
can also run without QuickTime, though supporting less image formats
Presets can be edited or saved and your last preset used is remembered
can be processed from the drop window, file/open menu or by dropping on the application icon
images in 90° increments
JPEG rotation (no quality degradation)
to keep EXIF data
a thumbnail icon (which allows a quick preview in some applications, e.g. the Finder)
