Use this to component to programmatically control the MCI – supports the playing of CDs, Wave files and MIDIs, as well as recording wave files and saving them to disk. Logical object model distinguishes between CD, Wave and MIDI devices, enabling the developer to instantiate one or more of each type of device. Can be used with any ActiveX-compliant programming language and ships with context-sensitive help detailing all the available properties, methods and events.
