Tristana Reader pulls news, blogs, podcasts, media files and online content directly to your desktop. Safely access secure online content which is delivered to your PC in real-time without e-mail. Avoid the pitfalls of e-mail such as SPAM and privacy abuse with newsfeeds. Tristana's easy to use 3 panel interface allows you to add or remove content at any time. You can set preferences to be alerted the instant that content changes at a website. Tristana is iPod friendly and allows you to view podcasts and safely download media files immediately or when your PC is idle. Use the built-in search function to find newsfeeds on the Web, or search downloaded feeds by keyword. Apply skins to change the look of your interface, and set preferences to check for new content or delete old content after a specified period of time.

What's new in this Major Update: - updated content alert to scroll dynamically to display multiple feeds- added ability to refresh individual channels with right-click- can now delete multiple folders, channels or feeds by Ctrl or Shift and highlighting- upgraded Downloads functionality for easier use (ie. double click on feed to download)- added additional security features to prevent unsafe downloading of attachments- warnings for offline/incorrect feeds after loading- expanded list of Preference settings, including sound when new content arrives- added user name/password feed protection functionality (right click for Channel Properties)- added "Check for updates" functionality to ensure latest version- expanded feed compatibility for latest XML formats
