The imaged data can then be encrypted and also compressed to various different levels. The splitting of images onto different storage volumes can either be individually set or O&O DiskImage 2 will automate the splitting.Should only particular files or directories from an image be required, it is not necessary to restore the whole image. Images can be mounted as drives with O&O DiskImage 2 enabling direct access to individual files or directories.Just like with O&O BlueCon 6 or the O&O RescueBox 4, O&O DiskImage 2 comes delivered on a start capable CD based on Windows PE with full Windows driver support, enabling the complete recovery of a system image without prior installation. Users of O&O DiskImage 2 therefore have the so-called BareMetal technology at their disposal, without the need to first create a Start medium.The creation or restoration of an image is significantly accelerated by the native support of 64-bit and multiprocessor systems. O&O DiskImage 2 supports Windows XP 64-bit as well as multiprocessor technology. O&O DiskImage 2 Professional Edition is compatible with Windows 2000 Pro and all editions of Windows XP and Vista.
